Foster thinking ability through sports, with SPLYZA Teams

Sports is a problem with no right answers. The ability to think for oneself is essential to derive the answer. SPLYZATeams is a video analysis tool that allows players to "discover" and "solve" problems on their own by analyzing.

SPLYZA Teams fosters a problem-finding and problem-solving cycle

finding and problem-solving cycle

SPLYZA Teams help the process of Evaluation, Finding the problem, creating hypotheses.

This cycle is essential in order to solve the “problem that has no fixed answer” of sports. It is not any different from the cycle of discovering and solving problems that society faces.

SPLYZA Teams is a tool that contributes to children's growth by allowing players to discover issues and output solutions themselves through the use of video.

In addition to the appeal and value of sports that have been recognized up to now, such as "learning group behavior," "learning courtesy," "making friends," and "gaining physical strength," SPLYZA will contribute to the enhancement of the educational value of sports by fostering a "zest for living" that cannot be replaced by any AI in the new era.

Since we started using SPLYZA Teams, I feel that the independence and mutual understanding between the players has improved. Since we watch the video with an understanding of the team's rules and principles, the communication between us is more consistent. The understanding of what was good or bad about the game has been unified regardless of whether the player is in the game or not.

In addition, it is difficult for all players to participate equally when it comes to team sport. When I think about what could be done by every member to contribute as a member of a team, I think it is acceptable to have a player who contributes in analysis. In fact, some players take the initiative to input "tags'' through the app even when they are not in the game. I think SPLYZA Teams is a very effective tool as an opportunity to contribute outside of play.

By verbalizing the match with the “tag” function, I felt a change in communicating between the players, we were able to understand what others thought about the game.

We began to communicate in those terms at matches, meetings, and training sessions, we could understand each other better. I feel that players understand and move in the order of words, head, and body, as if they first hear with their ears, understand with their minds, and then move to action. This was strongly felt as a change, and our teaching also changed in this regard.

Utilization in the Classroom

Utilization in the Classroom

SPLYZA Teams is also used in college and high school settings. With the GIGA School Concept being brought forward due to Covid-19, as well as the widespread use of laptops and tablets, the communication environments and the teaching style in many high schools and universities is undergoing a major change. Education is shifting from education that only requires practice to education that "looks back and thinks".。

“Extracurricular Club Activities Reform" with Saitama City NTT Data Management Institute.

Competency

In the "Demonstration Project of Educational Effectiveness of Extracurricular Club Activities" conducted by Saitama City and NTT Data Management Research Institute, SPLYZA Teams app was provided to high schools of Saitama City to demonstrate the educational effectiveness of club activities. As a result of measuring the improvement of predetermined "competencies," the results showed that "logical thinking" and "independence," which are considered to have a high correlation with academic achievement, may be strengthened.
